Not only does it smell amazing but my hair is sooo soft after using. I use it in rotation with fenugreek formula, because I love them both. Can't quit you!!!
Papaya Pre-poo is a must on my 4C hair in this Texas weather. I stay stocked up because its the 1st step in my weekly wash day ( bi weekly if life is too busy). The pre poo has great slip, and smells amazing. I section my hair in 4 squares and split each one. I mist it with water and use about a nickel amount to just spread down with my fingers. It only takes about 3 or 4 finger passes and its juicy and detangled. If NLS stops offering this I would definitely have a major life disturbance. (Noone has mastered the pre-poo like NLS)
This plus the lemon cleanser is all you need. Prepoo, deep condition and only rinse out alitte. Im good all week on gray 4c hair.
This product is hands down the best pre poo I ever used! I was able to detangle my hair with breeze. It was very hydrating and moisturizing, which made the rest of my wash easy. For some odd reason it felt different from the first one I purchased when it launched. I realized that extra conditioning agents were added to this formula, which I enjoyed. The creaminess and smell of the product was chef kiss. I will forever have this one in my stash. It is a must on wash day for me.

This prepoo is great. I prefer the Fenugreek prepoo but this also gets the job done. It has a lot of slip when you add enough water.
I initially went to the site to purchase the fenugreek prepoo, but it was sold out. I then decided to try the Papaya prepoo and I am glad I did. I think the two are equivalent function-wise, but with different textures. I would recommend both of them for prepoo.
I was very satisfied with the product. The slip was good and I was able to manage my hair before shampoo.

This combo is the best. I use it when I want to do mini twists that last minimum 2 weeks.
When you wash weekly, a prepoo is needed. This is the one that works for me and my 4C hair. It instantly brings moisture to my strands. My pre-poo routine with papaya pre-poo: I section my hair into 4 sections and use about a quarter-size x2 in each section. I rake each section with my fingers. I make a big twist, let them sit for about 15 mins (with or without heat) under a cap. Rinse with warm water... and experience super soft, manageable hair ready for washing. Needless to say, I keep 2 jars as backup. I was so happy when this became a staple! My Favorite NLS product! OG member Since 2021

I agree with another reviewer that said this is a product you didn’t know you needed until you use it. Considering I push wash day a little longer in the Winter than other seasons, I can use the help with detangling. An absolutely awesome product for those with extreme coils (Me) that like to tangle on themselves. This is another great product by NLS!

I wasn’t interested in trying this product when it was first released. But NOW I’m crazy obsessed with it! Perfect amount of slip and moisture to detangle with, it is a must have staple in my regimen now.

This pre poo works exactly as described. The slip and nourishment to my hair are undeniable. Upon rinse out, my hair feels like a good conditioner has been applied. It makes the rest of my wash day a lot easier. I notice a real difference when I don't use it or the fenugreek one that is also really good. In terms of bang for your buck as it relates to quality and quantity of product, NLS is always top 2 or 3 on the list. This is a female black owned and operated brand that operates with transparency, integrity, and excellent customer service. Also check out a few more of my faves: rose, coconut and mixed fruit conditioners as well as the cucumber and lemon shampoos. You won't be disappointed!

My son hijacked this product, he loves it as a conditioner. I tried it as a prepoo and detangler and it did not disappoint. Now I know why my son loves it. It is rich, smells delicious and leaves your hair like "butta"!

The 2-in-1 papaya mask made my hair so soft! The tangles melted away after I used it for an expired twist out. I love that it doubles as a pre-poo and deep conditioner.
Makes wash day so easy!
I always slather this on b4 taking out my wig cornrows. I notice a huge difference in the amount of breakage. Plus, my hair feels cleaner after shampooing. Will continue to use.

My ends are tangled based on a hair growth product. I have not been a long hair girlie, so maybe this is a "perk" of long hair. LOL This has helped me with these new tangles. I love this as a deep conditioner, yet it cannot replace the original Pre-Poo. I'm absolutely a fan of NLS.

Literally a new holy grail product for me! Provides moisture, slip and rinses very well.
I used this in place of a rinse out conditioner and it does wonders. A lot of reviews said they like this as a pre ooo over the fenugreek pre poo because of the slip but i think the fenugreek is a lot better for pre poo detangling and this as a normal rinse out conditioner. I always condition twice on my wash days. I’d use a conditioner and then a deep conditioner so 10/10!
I've used this product as a prepoo and a rinse out conditioner. While it did work as a prepoo for me, I do prefer the fenugreek prepoo. But as a rinse out, all I can say is WOOOOOOW! The slip that let me detangle, and the fact that my hair was so SOFT that I didn't need to deep condition, I will repurchase this again and again!
